About Advanced Optics

Terence L. Roberts started Advanced Optics in 1991 so he could bring Full Family Eye care to a great hometown community that previously had no other option than to go out of town for their optical care. Terry is an experienced optician who has been in the eye care business since 1981.

Advanced Optics was originally located at Main and Water streets before relocating 21 years ago to the current location at 834 Main Street in Hellertown, Pennsylvania in the former Prosser Building - a well know landmark and Pharmacy.

Advanced Optics is a full service eye care practice offering a great selection of Frames, Sunglasses (in both prescription and non-prescription), Contact Lenses, and digitally formed lenses for eyewear. We carry many designer frames such as Tiffany & Co., Ray-Ban, Maui Jim, Giorgio Armani, Tag Heuer Kate Spade, to name a few. There is eyewear for every price range and you don’t have to travel far to get a great product at a great price. Advanced Optics has a full, on-site lab for finish grinding lenses into new frames or your current frames by using a state-of-the-art lens edger allowing CNC milling and drilling, custom shapes and most wrapped sun wear. The advantages include helping to reduce costs as well as being able to provide a high quality product in a shorter timeframe. We pride ourselves on our precision and ability to repair and diagnose eyewear issues. Let us help you with your adjustments and minor repairs.

Terry and his wife have lived in Hellertown for over 35 years and have two children.
